ROCKLAND — The Midcoast Babe Ruth League playoffs are underway with the semifinal round being played Saturday, July 6 in Rockland. 

This season, the league playoffs will be a single-elimination tournament played over three consecutive days, July 5-7, at Morrill Field. 

The league championship will be held Sunday, July 7 at 1 p.m.

The playoff seeds, with final records in parentheses, include:

1. Rockland Ford (9-1)
2. Newcastle (8-2)
3. Tidewater Oil (6-4)
4. Damariscotta Lions (6-4)
5. Union Farm Equipment (4-6)
6. P.G. Willey (3-7)
7. Waldoboro (3-7) 
8. Granite Coast Orthodontics (1-9)

Tidewater Oil is the third seed based on its win over Damariscotta Lions.

P.G. Willey is the sixth seed based on its win over Waldoboro.

Game One: #1 Rockland Ford defeated #8 Granite Coast Orthodontics 10-9 (in 8 innings)
Game Two: #4 Damariscotta Lions defeated #5 Union Farm Equipment 6-4

Game Four: #3 Tidewater Oil defeated #6 P.G. Willey 3-0

Semifinals (July 6)
