ROCKLAND — The Rockland City Council would like to invite all to participate in the following scheduled workshops in January 2021:
Flanagan Community Center - January 20, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., via ZOOM. The Rockland City Council will be discussing the future of Flanagan Community Center while taking into consideration the report from the Parks and Recreation Committee published in November 2020. The discussion will be focused around whether or not to have a Recreation Department in the City or to seek another contract for recreation services.
Downtown Summer Traffic Pattern - January 27, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., via ZOOM. The Rockland City Council would like to invite all business owners and citizens to discuss Main Street design for the summer of 2021 and beyond. The focus will be on whether or not to extend retail and restaurant businesses out onto the street during the warmer months. Input will be taken to work on a design for MDOT approval.
Accessory Dwelling Units - January 27, 2021, at 7 p.m., via ZOOM. Ordinance Amendment #39 was approved in first reading on December 14, 2020 and scheduled for public hearing on February 8, 2021. Council is seeking citizen input on the proposed definition change to allow for detached structures to be considered accessory dwelling units.
