Riverhawk seventh grade boys basketball falls to Lions

The Medomak seventh grade boys basketball team lost a close contest to Troy Howard Monday, Jan. 8 by a final tally of 65-61. 

Medomak held a 16-11 lead after the first quarter and a 31-30 lead heading into the halftime break. Troy Howard held a 48-47 advantage after the third quarter. 

“The young men fought hard throughout the game and held a scoring advantage in the fourth quarter before [Troy Howard] put on a late surge outscoring [us] 17-11 in the final quarter,” said Medomak head coach Patrick Delahanty. 

“Hayden Staples and Wyatt Simmons provided solid minutes in the second half while Noah Lawrence and Gaitlyn Bedenik played tough defensively and Gavin Clark and Isaac Simmons worked hard to contain a potent Belfast offense,” Delahanty noted.
