WARREN — The number of candidates seeking to represent House District 44 during the upcoming elections has shrunk from three to two this week. 

Wesley Richardson, a Republican from Warren has withdrawn from the race this week.

That now leaves Crystal Robinson, a Republican from Hope, and incumbent Bill Pluecker, an independent from Warren, as the two candidates for the seat. 

House District 44 will represent the towns of Hope, Union and Warren under the 2022 redistricting plan.
