‘Resilience: biology of stress and science of hope’ film, discussion
THOMASTON — Thomaston Public Library will host the showing of a one-hour documentary, Resilience: the Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope, Monday, May 20, at 5 p.m. Discussion will follow.
This film delves into the science of how toxic stress in childhood can alter brain development and cause lifelong effects on health and behavior. The film's experts and those practitioners profiled in the film believe the
cycle of "Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) is preventable and that this cycle of adversity and disease can be broken, according to Thomaston Library, in a news release.
