BELFAST — Belfast Summer Nights presents its third and final “Keeping Our Friends and Neighbors Healthy Concert” of the 2020 season, Friday, Sept. 4, from 5 - 7 p.m. This is a reschedule due to rain on September 3.
The musicians will be set up in the the middle of the footbridge (blocked off to all other foot traffic) and will direct their sounds out into Belfast Harbor.
“Bring your canoe, kayak, row boat, or lawn chair (for the land bound folk) and get ready for a rollicking good time,” said Belfast Summer Nights, in a news release.
Singer, songwriter, picker, and humorist Bennett Konesni anchors the crew. The Gawler Sisters; Edith, Elsie, and Molly will be performing vocals as a group. Ed Howe bluegrass fiddler brings his powerful driving sound to the mix, according to the news release. Shepsi Eaton (singer/guitarist) and Cambo (drummer) sweeten the mix with an acoustic reggae vibe. Tom and Annadeene Fowler, hot pickers and singers from the Leaky Boot Jug Band spice up this funky chowder (Downeast Gumbo!)
“Only in Belfast can you get this assortment of such great local talent playing on a quarter mile long concrete stage,” said Summer Nights. “Amazing! Grab your lawn chair or yacht and the old lady/man and come have a blast with us in Belfast.”
