CAMDEN — Continuing a long tradition, Coastal Family Hospice Volunteers and MaineHealth Care at Home will hold their annual Gathering of Remembrance and Gratitude, Sunday, Sept. 12, at 4 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center, 30 Conway Road, Camden. Merryspring’s peaceful late summer garden will be the setting for the outside service, which will feature meaningful music, readings and reflection.

All are welcome. One does not have to have any affiliation with the sponsoring groups.

Deirdre Felton, who chairs the board of CFHV, acknowledged the challenges of the last 18 months: "We have all been living through a season of loss. This service is designed to offer a bit of comfort."

Among the participants will be the Rev. Ken Dale, hospice chaplain for MaineHealth Care at Home; violinist Sophie Davis; and singers Kay Allan, Pat Coyne and Tony Coyne, members of Solace, the local a cappella hospice choir.

Coastal Family Hospice Volunteers has been providing volunteer services to hospice patients and their families since 1979. The program director is Colleen Kinney, who can be reached at coastalfamilyhospicevolunteers @gmail.com or (207) 230-0042.
