THOMASTON —Post 37 wishes to introduce Red Friday for members, veterans and the local community, beginning on April 2. Red Friday is an American Legion Family Program established to remember all that are currently deployed members of the Armed Forces of the United States.
In today’s Covid-19 situation the Williams Brazier Post 37 will expand family related activities during 2021. Red Friday will allow Post 37 Legionnaires, and those in the local community, to have an outlet to meet with others. All are invited to come sit in a safe area, drink coffee, eat doughnuts and talk about someone they may know that is serving, and deployed, in America’s military.
Red Friday will be open on the first and third Friday of each month. Beginning at 10 a.m., anyone interested in sharing a story, or just to visit with Post 37, is welcome to visit at the Post.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served free of charge.
All Covid-19 protocols will be in place. Tables will be socially distanced and there will be three seats per table. Masks are to be worn at all times.
“Come to Post 37,” said the Post, in a news release. “You will be welcomed with open arms.”
