Auditions in December for July’s Classics on the Common

Read-through of ‘Canterbury Tales’ comedy to be held in Belfast

BELFAST — The City of Belfast Parks and Recreation Dept's “Classics on the Common” is making plans to hold its second annual classical presentation of a modern-language adaptation of Chaucer's comedy, The Canterbury Tales, which will take place at the Amphitheater on the Common, on July 24, 25 and 26, 2020.

A meeting and read-through for this classic play will take place Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at 3 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, 95 High St, Belfast (go through the front door.)

Attendees will take turns reading some of the tales and sign up for the auditions, which will happen within two weeks of the read-through. All actors, musicians, dancers, technicians and all-purpose volunteers are welcome.
