Quarry Hill presents ‘Around the World on a Bike’

Event has passed

CAMDEN — Five years ago, Appleton resident Denis Beaudry set out on the ultimate bike trip: a four-month, 10,000-mile, continent-hopping odyssey that took him from Madrid to Shanghai to Boston. Now, Quarry Hill offers adults age 50-plus an opportunity to hear Beaudry's remarkable story from the cyclist himself, as he presents "Around the World on a Bike," Wednesday, March 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill in Camden.

The presentation is part of Quarry Hill's Adventures in Living Well series for older adults and will be offered free of charge. Advance registration is required; please call Quarry Hill at (207) 921-6116 or email qhinfo@pbmc.org.

Denis Beaudry took up cycling in earnest at the age of 40. Over the past 20 years, his long-distance treks have included the 2,200-mile stretch from Fairbanks to Seattle; tours in Scandinavia, Morocco, Iceland, and New Zealand; a coast-to-coast ride across the United States; and a journey along the Continental Divide from Alberta to Mexico.
