ROCKLAND — This year, the Maine Lobster Festival’s Coronation Banquet will be Friday, July 26 at 6 p.m. at the Samoset on the Ocean in Rockport. Check in is at 5:30 p.m.
The Coronation Banquet is where the Sea Princesses are questioned by the judges about their knowledge of the Maine Lobster Festival, the region’s fishing industry, and the surrounding communities. The Sea Princesses will also be questioned about their recent tours of Bean Lobster, the Maine Lighthouse Museum, and Knox Center for Long Term Care.
The purpose of the questions is to prepare the ladies for the many events the selected Sea Goddess will attend so they can speak to the public about Maine and Lobstering.
The Maine Lobster Festival invites everyone who is interested in attending this informative and entertaining event to email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, number of reservations, and contact information to make their reservations. The cost is $35 per person.
Each ticket includes a buffet-style meal with dessert. Cash bar also available.
Interested parties may pay at the door, but payment prior to the event is preferred. Checks can be made out to Rockland Festival Corporation and sent to Rockland Festival Corporation C/O Treasurer at P.O. Box 552 Rockland, ME 04841.
Cancellation Policy: A week in advanced is required for cancellation or you will be charged. If you sign up and do not attend, you will be responsible for the cost of your meal.
