Poetry walk for families offered at Erickson Fields Preserve, April 1
Event has passed
ROCKPORT — Families are invited to join Rockport Library’s Youth Services Librarian Stephanie Miller for a guided story walk on Saturday, April 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Erickson Fields Preserve.
Miller will be reading aloud from the children’s book Firefly July: A Year of Very Short Poems, Selected. The poems in the book are selected by acclaimed poet Paul B. Janeczko and beautifully illustrated by Melissa Sweet, according to the Library, in a news release.
“April is National Poetry Month,” says Miller, “and this program is a lovely way for families to experience the writings of various poets while walking, observing, and enjoying the transition from winter to spring.”
Erickson Fields Preserve is located at 164 West Street in Rockport.
This program is free and open to the public. No sign-up required.
