Penobscot Language School to host community gathering
ROCKLAND - Penobscot Language School (PLS), providing language and intercultural experiences in the Midcoast community for over 30 years, invites community members to an afternoon gathering on Sunday, April 7, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at its premises, 28 Gay Street, Rockland.
Any party who has participated as students, volunteers, teachers, presenters, mentors or hosts to visiting students or teachers, participants in cultural events, dinners and culture camp, are invited to renew bonds and associations with the school. Light drinks with sweet and savory finger foods will be provided.
Sing a new song or two in a foreign language, try your hand at a cultural craft, enjoy a brief presentation on how learning a new language enhances your brain, hear music from other lands, find out about language learning technology, explore what happens inwardly when you experience another culture. Come ready to contribute your thoughts to a developing vision for the school’s future in our changing world.
