With the victory, the Windjammers improved its record to 2-1.

The next game for the Windjammers will be a Tuesday, Sept. 11 road contest against Skowhegan at 3:30 p.m.

In the Saturday game, Ben Owre scored four goals in the first half to boost the Windjammers to victory. Michael Blackwell assisted on one of Owre's goals.

Matt Kremin finished the game with four saves in the Windjammer net. Camden Hills out shot Hampden 11-6.

"Today was a big step in the right direction for us,” Camden Hills head coach Ryan Hurley said. “Hampden is a good team and will be worth a lot of heal points by seasons end. Ben was on fire the first half and it was fun to witness his performance and the teams celebration of each goal. We have another challenging week ahead with a tough KVAC schedule that offers no reprieve, but we are having fun and growing each game."
