CAMDEN — Elmer and Holly Savage, owners and operators of Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery and Barrett Hill Farm in Union, will be the featured speakers at Quarry Hill’s next Adventures in Living Well program, Wednesday, November 16, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill.
The Savages will talk about their approach to sustainable farming and share tastings of a few of the wines made from grapes produced at the vineyard. In addition to the winery, at Barrett Hill Farm, the couple and their two sons manage 15 acres of wild blueberries and raise Belted Galloway beef cattle, rare-breed chickens, and pigs in accordance with the family’s commitment to Maine’s tradition of small-scale animal husbandry.
Adventures in Living Well programs are open to everyone age 50 and better.
The event is free, but advance registration is required; to sign up, call Quarry Hill at 921-6116 or email email@example.com.
