YARMOUTH — In the coming weeks, ongoing work on the Bayview Street Bridge in Yarmouth will require overnight lane closures on I-295. Single lane closures will occur on both the northbound and southbound sides of the interstate around mile marker 17.

The closures will happen between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Sunday, October 3 and Thursday, October 21. There will be no lane closures on Friday or Saturday nights.

This work is part of the project to replace the deck of the bridge, add a sidewalk on the south side of the bridge, and increase the height of the bridge rail on both sides of the bridge.

The contractor on this project is CPM Constructors of Freeport, and the contract amount is $1,687,258.

Work is scheduled to be completed in early November.
