Outerspace opens 2025 Summer Sounds concert series at Camden Snow Bowl, Aug. 3
The Outerspace Band, in its only Midcoast appearance this year, opens the Camden Summer Sounds, Aug. 3, at 4 p.m., at the Camden Snow Bowl.
"This neo-Frisco R&B roots rock band has been defying gravity for more than a half century of fun on our planet," said Camden Opera House, in a news release.
Outerspace has a faithful following, thanks to playing ageless original music in roadhouses, dance halls, ski areas, warehouses, boatyards, factories, churches, island medical centers and many other places in Maine.
Camden Opera House presents the annual Camden Summer Sounds series of free outdoor concerts from Sundays, Aug. 3 through 24, at 4 p.m., at the Camden Snow Bowl, 22 Barnestown Road.
"Camden Summer Sounds, a bring-your-own lawn seating and picnic live music event, has become a tradition for capping the summer weekends," said COH.
The series will continue Aug. 10 with the Gawler Family Band; Aug. 17, Primo Cubano; and Aug. 24, The Right Track.
Admission is free, though donations are welcome for the opera house’s Community Arts Fund. All dogs must be on leash.
In the event of wet weather, the concerts are held at the downtown Camden Opera House. Any rain location decisions will be made 5 p.m. the day before and posted on camdenoperahouse.com and in social media.
This summer’s series is sponsored by Maine State Credit Union
