BELFAST — On Friday, January 24, Waterfall Arts will hold an opening reception for “In House: 2020 Denizen” exhibit (in the Corridor Gallery). The reception begins at 5 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
What is a denizen, you ask? Denizen = an inhabitant or occupant of a particular place. A Waterfall Arts Denizen = a volunteer, private studio artist, teacher, public studio monitor, studio subscriber, staff member, board member. In House showcases work created by the local community of denizens over the past year.
The opening reception for In House provides an opportunity to learn more about Waterfall Arts and meet some of the people involved in Belfast’s own community art center while taking in thought-provoking and engaging artwork, according to Waterfall Arts, in a news release. The In House exhibit will be on view from January 24 through February 21. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., or by appointment.
Waterfall Arts is located at 256 High Street in downtown Belfast. For more information, visit waterfallarts.org or call (207)-338-2222.
