Open House and Summer Luncheon at St. Thomas' Church, Aug. 17

    CAMDEN — St. Thomas' Church will be hosting an Open House and Summer Luncheon on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

    The Open House will feature a tour of the historic building by Brother Donovan from 11-11:30 a.m.

    Readings and meditations from local poets and authors will take place at the following times: 

    Poetry Readings 11:30-11:45
    Frank Bosco
     
    Meditations & Readings 12:45-Noon
    Jeff Conrad
     
    Reading – Light on Jib Island Noon-12:15
    Jan Gilly – award winning author
     

    Available food includes: 

    Chicken salad luncheon including chips/pickle/drink - $12

    Hot Dog Luncheon including chips/pickle/drink - $8

    Strawberry Shortcake - $8

    There will be a Children's Activity Area - face painting/duck pond/Paint-A-Pot/lawn games and Polly's Pantry that will be offering spice rubs/dry soup mix/brownies/cakes/pies/frozen key lime pie and other confections to satisfy any sweet tooth

    Raffle tickets are 6 for $5
    Single ticket $1
    Raffle items are: Picnic basket loaded with service for 4: cups/bowls/plates/silverware/wine glasses/bottle opener/corkscrew/cork screw/cutting board/cheese knife/table cloth/napkins and 3 bottles of wine

    Maine themed goody basket: Maine maple syrup/wine/autographed books by local Maine authors/placemats/napkins and more surprises
