WALDOBORO — Oktoberfest Waldoboro, a family-friendly, free event will be held on Saturday, October 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Cider Hill Farm, 785 Main Street, Waldoboro. (Rain date, Sunday, Oct. 3).
There will be pumpkin decorating, sack races, hoop shooting and a puppet show for children; barrel races, Nagelbalkan and beer tray obstacle races for the adults; and a variety of games and activities for the whole family including cider pressing, Giant Jenga, cornhole, bocce, and more.
Participants can also take photos of themselves in a face-in-the-hole alpine mural.
German fare of sausage, sauerkraut and pretzels from Morse’s Sauerkraut will be available to purchase and a Biergarten for 21 and older will feature handcrafted brews from Odd Alewives Farm Brewery.
Music will be provided throughout the event by PHOG and The Betty Junes.
Homemade desserts and treats will be for sale by the Women’s Club of Waldoboro and the Friends of The Waldoboro Public Library.
