Oceanside, Medomak middle school girls soccer fight to 1-1 tie

WALDOBORO — The Medomak and Oceanside middle school girls soccer teams squared off on the pitch Wednesday, Sept. 26 and fought their way to a 1-1 final score. 

There are two games remaining on the schedule for the Riverhawks girls soccer team, both of them road games. 

The Riverhawks will hit play Wiscasset on Wednesday, Oct. 3 and Great Salt Bay on Friday, Oct. 5. Both games will start at 3:45 p.m.

Oceanside was able to find the back of the net four minutes into the contest to take a 1-0 advantage, an advantage they held until the final four minutes of the contest. The name of the scorer was not available. 

In the final four minutes of the game, Medomak’s Ana Underhill found the back of the net to tie the game at one each. 

“Great defense was played by Mandi Karl in goal and Quinn Overlock on defense,” said Medomak head coach Andrea Williamson.
