TENANTS HARBOR and THOMASTON — The Oceanside eighth grade girls basketball team collected a pair of victories during back-to-back contests this week. 

Oceanside 23, St. George 19

The Mariners traveled to Tenants Harbor to compete Wednesday, Jan. 19 against St. George. 

Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 10-7, 19-11 and 21-11. 

Scoring for Oceanside were A. Poland (two points), L. Fales (two), A. Stockpole (15), G. Mackie (two) and A. Reid (two). 

Scoring for St. George were Miller (two points), Ward (four), McCaffray (two), Putansu (four) and Hufnagel (seven). 

Oceanside 38, Camden-Rockport 29

In Thomaston, the Mariners hosted Camden-Rockport for a Busline League contest Thursday, Jan. 20. 

Oceanside possessed a 15-9 lead after the opening quarter before Camden-Rockport carried a narrow 21-20 advantage into the halftime break. Oceanside regained the lead by the end of the third quarter 28-25. 

Scoring for Oceanside were A. Poland (six points), A. Stackpole (17), K. Deebler (13) and G. Mackie (two). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Brooklyn Rollins (two), Maddie Cronkite (11), Rita Haslam (four), Hannah Stowe (two) and Maya Stone (10).
