ROCKLAND —  The Strand Theatre announces its “Streaming Cinema” films for November.

“Ticket proceeds are split between the Strand and the movie distribution companies, so a viewer’s purchase is a simple and direct way to provide much-needed support for the theater,” said Strand, in a news release.

The November line-up of films will be available all month:

Martin Eden: In this sweeping romantic Italian epic based on a Jack London novel, a young proletarian hopes his dreams of becoming a writer will help him rise above his station and marry a wealthy university student. Directed by Pietro Marcello. Starring Luca Marinelli, Jessica Cressy, Denise Sardisco. Running time: 2 hours, 9 min. In Italian with English subtitles

White Riot: The story of Rock Against Racism, a political and cultural movement that emerged in 1970s Britain in reaction to a rise in racist attacks on the streets and increasing support for the far-right National Front at the ballot box. Featuring The Clash, Steel Pulse, Tom Robinson, Poly Styrene, and more. Directed by Rubika Shah. Running time: 1 hour, 20 min.

This is Not a Movie: A documentary about world-acclaimed foreign correspondent Robert Fiske, who has reported on some of the most violent and divisive conflicts in the world, ferreting out the facts and firing reports back home. His work is as vital as ever in an era of "fake news," politicized facts, and the rise of ethno-nationalist politics. Directed by Yung Chang. Running time: 1 hour, 46 min.

Fire Will Come: After serving two years in prison for arson, Amador returns to his mountainside village in north-west Spain. He lives quietly there with his aging mother, despite the glares from his neighbors, until one night a devastating fire ignites that threatens to engulf the entire region. A poetic and beautifully filmed tale. Directed by Oliver Laxe. Starring Amador Arias, Benedicta Sanchez, Inazio Abrao. Running time: 1 hour, 25 min. In Galician and Spanish, with English subtitles

Aggie: A lively exploration of the nexus of art, race and justice through the story of art collector Agnes Gund, who sold Roy Lichtenstein's painting "Masterpiece" in 2017 for $165 million to start the Art for Justice Fund to end mass incarceration. Directed by Catherine Gund. Starring Agnes Gund, Thelma Golden, John Waters. Running time: 1 hour, 32 min.

Streaming cinema tickets cost $10-12 and will be available on the Strand Theatre website. Ticket proceeds are split between the Strand and the movie distribution company, so a viewer’s purchase is a simple and direct way to provide much-needed support for the theater.
