NORTHPORT — The Town of Northport has announced a new date for its annual town meeting and municipal elections. 

The annual town meeting, scheduled for June 1, has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 16. 

The municipal elections, scheduled for May 20, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 14. 

Times and locations will be announced at a later date. 

“We will update this when a definite time and place has been set,” a notice on the town website stated. “Please note that we do not move these important events lightly, but our main concern is the health and safety of our staff and residents.”
