CAMDEN — On Tuesday, June 21, at 8 p.m., the Camden Public Library will host an online discussion with Stephen Legawiec, artistic director for the Camden Shakespeare Festival. Legawiec will introduce Shakespeare’s comedy “As You Like It” and give participants a preview of how the play will be interpreted for performances this summer in the Camden Amphitheatre, July 13 – August 7.

“Legawiec and the Camden Shakespeare Festival are well-known for their daring and imaginative staging of Shakespeare’s plays,” said the Library, in a news release.

This year, Shakespeare’s beloved comedy “As You Like” will get a 1960s “Summer of Love” makeover. Legaweic’s preview talk will provide fascinating insights into the play and the inspiration behind the Festival’s unique staging.
