They just finished a tour of the eastern and southern states and are excited to be bring their down-to-earth, honest songs and spirits back to Midcoast Maine for a show in a historic music venue with a long and storied history of it's own. Chris Ross writes and sings the songs while The North consists of Ryan Curless on drums, Caleb Sweet on bass, and Zack Bence on electric guitar.

Critical praise for Chris Ross & The North:
"The world Ross describes in his songs is one that's probably very familiar to the devoted fanbase he's developed over the years; hard-drinking, hard-working, honest, wry, and, hidden behind a tough exterior, a well of intelligence and emotional depth." - Bangor Daily News

"Young Once is pure Americana. Fans of Zac Brown Band, Jason Isbell, John Hiatt, and storytellers of similar ilk, will find this album and act most appealling." - Bluebird Reviews

"I love his lyrics, the imagery he can raise from a simple phrase, and the range of emotion he can sift through in his vocals, moving from grit to yearn to complete abandon." - Maine Music News

The Midnight Riders opened for The Mallett Brothers Band (TMBB), with a 10 song all original set, on Saturday June 17 at the Rockport Opera House. The Midnight Riders also played with TMBB, Chris Ross & The North, and Sugarbush at Music Made In Maine for The Common Ground Fair weekend at Threshers Brewing Company in Searsmont.
