Both are planned as "Lunch & Learn" style events -- participants may bring a bag lunch if they wish.

Friday, April 27, at 12:30 p.m.: Investing With Confidence. More and more individual investors are being asked to navigate investment waters that are increasingly complicated and treacherous. The scope of knowledge required to save for retirement, education, or other life events can be intimidating and discouraging. The focus of the presentation is to provide participants with a basic vocabulary and framework to make appropriate investment decisions. Key concepts include defining distinct categories of investments, or asset classes, and how they behave over time. We will discuss the risk and return attributes of these asset classes. Finally, how to combine asset classes to arrive at a suitable, diversified portfolio. The presentation will include a slideshow with simple examples and historical data, but also be interactive and allow for questions.
