Midcoast Public Health Council to hold meeting via Zoom

Sun, 10/18/2020 - 10:00am

The Midcoast Public Health Council will hold a meeting, on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., via Zoom.

“Please note that this is shorter meeting than typical and that there is only a Zoom option,” said the Council, in a news release.

This meeting will feature speakers on mental health and food security.

A presentation will ensue by Dr. Tom Meuser, director of the Center for Excellence in Aging and Health, professor of social work, and a clinical psychologist and applied gerontologist at the University of New England.

Heather Arvidson will also present. Arvidson is a volunteer, client services manager, and food security coalition coordinator for the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.

The meeting will also offer opportunities to network and collaborate as well as to hear a brief update on Maine CDC activities.

About one week before the Council meeting date, organizers will send out the agenda and any agenda materials.
