ROCKLAND — Kristen McAuley, prevention and training director at the Center for Tobacco Independence, is the featured speaker for Midcoast Public Health Council’s meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., at the Knox County Emergency Management Agency, 301 Park Street, in Rockland.
McAuley will provide an update on statewide tobacco prevention initiatives, legislative updates, and vaping-associated lung injury.
There will be a brief presentation about the local hospitals' Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIPs), and a discussion about the 2020 Local Public Health System Assessment (LPHSA).
In addition to the meeting agenda, attached are copies of the draft meeting minutes from September 10 and a brief introduction to the LPHSA.
