Midcoast 14s, 15s fall in Babe Ruth season finales

ROCKLAND — The District 2 Babe Ruth baseball all-stars tournament schedule for both the 14-year-old and 15-year-old tournaments have been announced with both tournaments being held Friday July 6 through Sunday, July 8 at Rockland’s Morrill Field. 

The winner of the district tournaments will meet in the state tournament. 

The 14-year-old Midcoast Babe Ruth team consists of Duncan Oakes-Nelsen (Rockland Ford), Connor Calderwood (Rockland Ford), Austin Chilles (Rockland Ford), Zepherin Leppanen (Penobscot Bay Dentistry), Garrett Hutchins (Waldoboro), Lucas Moody (PG Willey), Myles Wotton (Damariscotta Lions), Nick Prior (Damariscotta Lions), Ryan Clifford (Granite Coast Orthodontics), Matthew Kremin (PG Willey), Noah Thackeray (PG Willey), Eamon Goscinski (Penobscot Bay Dentistry), Blake Morrison (Union Farm Equipment) and Adrian Pierce (Granite Coast Dentistry). The team’s manager is Joe Nelsen (Rockland Ford), who is assisted by Jamie Chilles (Rockland Ford).

15s Game One: Lisbon 6, Midcoast 5

Saturday, July 7
14s Game Three: Augusta 4, Midcoast 3
14s Game Four: Central Maine 16,.Augusta 12 (CM wins district crown) 
15s Game Two: Lisbon 11, Midcoast 9 (LIS wins district crown)
