Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition to host open house at men’s recovery residence
ROCKLAND —The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition (MCRC) will host an open house for their men's recovery residence called "The Friends House" in Rockland.
The Friends House is officially open and is helping men with safe, sober and secure housing. The goal of The Friends House it to help men overcome barriers to their recovery. Each man living at The Friends House will work with MCRC staff to establish their own program to achieve success in all areas of their life before it is time for them to move to a residence of their own.
MCRC is planning an open house at The Friends House on Tuesday, July 17 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 22 Brewster Street in Rockland. Beverages and barbecued food will be served and staff will be available to show guests the common areas of the house and to answer questions.
The Friends House welcomes donations and volunteer time to support this very important haven for men in our community.
