Merryspring webinar: Edible Insects for a Sustainable Food System

Entrepreneur Bill Broadbent will speak about edible insects and their place in the global food supply in an online webinar hosted by Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, June 14, at 12 p.m.

Edible Insects as a serious food source has been gaining acceptance across the United States, Canada, and Europe in recent years. In this online talk, Broadbent of Entosense will speak about how edible insects can be a solution to a planet faced with a changing climate, increasing demand for food and food insecurity, and stressed farmland and water supplies.

Bill Broadbent is an entrepreneur who runs Entosense, LLC – a company that focuses on edible insects based in Lewiston. Entosense products are available in over 500 retail stores nationwide. Prior to forming Entosense, Broadbent worked in contract printing and founded several e-commerce ventures.

This talk is part of the Online Spring Talk series at Merryspring Nature Center, sponsored by Camden Real Estate Company.
