Merryspring talk: Container Gardens for Shady Spots

Event has passed

CAMDEN — Gardener Rebecca Goldenthal will lead a talk on shade container gardens, Tuesday, June 22, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.

Many people believe that shade planters are boring and lack color, but Rebecca Goldenthal aims to challenge that perception. In this presentation, Goldenthal will speak about how to build an attractive and bountiful container garden that will thrive in the shade, with a step-by-step, live demonstration.

Rebecca Goldenthal has more than 20 years of experience container gardening. Coming from an artistic background, she uses form, shape, and architectural components to explore a unique approach to container gardening. She operates In Full Bloom Container Gardens, which operates throughout midcoast and southern Maine.

This talk is part of Merryspring's Outdoor Spring Talk series. Outdoor Talks are held in a distanced manner in the Hexagon at Merryspring. The cost of this program is $5 for the general public, with a free admission for Merryspring members. No preregistration is necessary for this event.
