Tim Shaw will lead an online presentation titled “The Birds of (mostly) Merryspring” in a webinar hosted by Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, March 28, at 12 p.m.
Shaw is an avid amateur photographer living in Camden. His focus is on fly fishing, birding, and other outdoor activities. His photos have appeared in several books and national publications, including Flyfisher’s Guide to New England and Swing the Fly magazine. Nonprofit organizations including Camden Public Library, Coastal Mountains Land Trust, and Maine Trout Unlimited have also utilized his photos.
“Mostly Merryspring” is a photographic presentation of approximately 120 bird species commonly seen in Midcoast Maine. In fact, the majority of the non-water habitat birds can be found at Merryspring Nature Center at the appropriate time of year, according to Merryspring, in a news release. While the birds are common, some behaviors captured go beyond what is ordinarily found in guidebooks.
“The presentation will be educational and entertaining while highlighting the natural beauty we have in our area,” said Merryspring, in a news release.
This program is part of the Winter Online Talk series at Merryspring, sponsored by Renys – A Maine Adventure, and co-sponsored by Allen Insurance & Financial and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
Access to a computer or smart device is required to attend. Please email info@merryspring.org to register for this program. Zoom links are sent on the mornings of the talks. Talks are not recorded.
