CAMDEN – The Megunticook River Citizens Advisory Committee is hosting its monthly speaker March 21 with a focus on past studies of the Camden river.
Mike Burke, an engineer with the consulting company Inter-Fluve will present an “Overview of River Technical Studies, 2018-2021.”
The event will take place virtually, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and streamed live via the Town of Camden's YouTube channel. A recording will be available on the committee’s website following the presentation.
Burke is a principal water resources engineer with Inter-Fluve, focused on aquatic ecosystems and their restoration, often at the interface of the built and natural environments.
For 27 years, he has engaged in research, assessment, planning, design, and implementation efforts across North America, in particular across northern New England and Atlantic Canada. Restoration of watershed habitat connectivity and aquatic species passage has been a specific emphasis over the last 20 years. He established and leads Inter-Fluve’s office in Damariscotta.
