PITTSFIELD — The Medomak Valley wrestling team hit the road Saturday, Dec. 28 to compete in the Maine Central Institute Husky Winter Classic in Pittsfield. 

By the end of the competition, the Panthers had secured ninth place with 56.5 points. 

Placing for Medomak Valley were Gavin Readinger (fourth), Erik Benner (first) and Tyler Cox (second). 

Below are the complete results for Medomak Valley wrestlers. 

120 pounds: Gavin Readinger won by majority decision against Jayda Stevens (Oxford Hills), pinned by Ahmad Ahmad (Cony), pinned Taiton Schutt (Morse) and lost by injury default to Jayda Stevens (Oxford Hills). 

126 pounds: Ian Doughty pinned Colby Heady (Madison), pinned by Momo Alibriham (Cony) and pinned by Morgan Fonger (Mount View). 

138 pounds: Frank Dodge pinned by Brian Swift (Cony). 

145 pounds: Brady Carter pinned Hugo Smith (Erskine Academy), pinned by Zackary Ward (Mount View) and pinned by Mason Rowe (Mount Blue). 

152 pounds: Elizabeth Bowman pinned by Hayden Riley (Oxford Hills). 

160 pounds: Jethro Pease pinned Gabe DuBois (Fort Kent), pinned by Bennett Penney (Oceanside) and pinned by Aidan Larrabee (Erskine Academy). 

170 pounds: Tyler Cox pinned Alessandro Smith (Erskine Academy), defeated Caden Schleis-Hooyman (Cony) and lost by majority decision to Dillon Worster (Oxford Hills). 

182 pounds: Colby Verrill-Hyde pinned by Chase Nelson (Dirigo), pinned Keaghan Perkins (Madison) and pinned by Michael Cole (Mount View). 

195 pounds: Erik Benner pinned Ty Knowlton (Morse), won by technical pin against Isaak Peavey (Erskine Academy) and pinned Aaron Lettre (Cony).
