WALDOBORO — The Medomak Valley varsity girls basketball program improved its record to 7-2 with a victory at home against Cony on Monday, Jan. 7. 

With the 53-41 victory, Medomak Valley now turns its attention to a home game on Saturday, Jan. 12 against Lawrence at 6:30 p.m.

In the Monday contest, Medomak Valley held quarterly advantages of 14-11, 27-21 and 41-29.

Scoring for Medomak Valley were Chloe Blake (two points), Aubrey Schaeffer (seven), Abby Lash (10), Maddy White (four), Mackenzie Bickmore (two), Kayla Donlin (10), Sadie Cohen (six), Alyssa Creamer (two) and Lydia Simmons (10). 

Scoring for Cony were Alyssa Redman (14 points), Julia Reny (11), Brookyln Belanger (four), Regan Bechard (eight) and Sierra Prebit (two).
