Medomak Valley girls basketball narrowly edges Camden Hills

ROCKPORT — In a nail-biting showdown, the Medomak Valley varsity girls basketball team squeaked out a two-point victory over Camden Hills in Rockport. 

With the 36-34 win, Medomak Valley improved its record to 9-4 and Camden Hills dropped to 5-9. 

Medomak Valley held quarterly advantages of 15-8, 16-12 and 27-22. 

Scoring for Camden Hills were Kaylyn Krul (two points), Miranda Dunton (four), Audrey Bowman (six), Kassandra Krul (19) and Tessa Whitley (three). 

Scoring for Medomak Valley were Zaniah Puchalski (one point), Aubrey Schaeffer (three), Abby Lash (six), Maddy White (one), Kayla Donlin (two), Sadie Cohen (12) and Lydia Simmons (11). 

Next on the docket for Medomak Valley will be a home contest on Friday, Jan. 25 against Brunswick at 7 p.m. 

Next on the slate for Camden Hills will be a road game against Mount Ararat on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m.
