Medomak 7th girls basketball bests Troy Howard

WALDOBORO — The seventh grade girls basketball teams from Troy Howard and Medomak met Thursday, Dec. 5 in Waldoboro. 

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 9-6, 26-8 and 38-17 en route to a 51-30 victory over the “B” squad from Belfast. 

Scoring for Medomak were Audrey Jackson (18 points, three steals), Kytana Williamson (nine points, four steals, four assists), Lilly Christ (six points, two steals, two assists), Skylar Hills (three points, three steals, two assists), Erica Waite (eight points, three steals), Sadie Knight (one point, two steals, one assist), Dakotah Brackett (four) and Kaleigh Tompson (two). Paige Jarvis recorded one assist. 

Scoring for Troy Howard “B” were Jordan Mackay (five points), Payton Wadworth (eight), Mya Oliphant (one), Laura Carpenter (four), Alana Nichols (four), Jaliza Richards (six) and Nicole Shorey (two). 

The next contest for Medomak will be Tuesday, Dec. 10 at home against Oceanside. 

The next contest for Troy Howard will be Tuesday, Dec. 10 on the road against Camden-Rockport.
