ROCKPORT — Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW) Fisheries biologist Jason Seiders will speak at the April 10 George’s River Trout Unlimited (GRTU) meeting in Rockport.
Seiders will provide an update on the status of the local freshwater fisheries, plans for spring stocking and will discuss successful educational and outreach project models between MDIFW, TU chapters and local schools and organizations.
“Come learn about our local freshwater fisheries from our regional MDIFW expert,” said GRTU, in a news release.
The GRTU meeting April 10 will be held upstairs in the fly shop at Maine Sport in Rockport. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. with “Trout Talk,” an informal gathering for those who wish to visit before the presentation. Pizza is available for purchase by the slice. The formal meeting and featured presentation begin at 7 p.m.
GRTU conducts a raffle directly following the speaker.
TU membership is open to all.
