ROCKLAND — The Oceanside field hockey team hosted Maranacook on Saturday, Sept. 15 and fell 1-0 in the contest. 

With the loss, the Mariners fall to 1-4 on the season and turn attention to its next contest to be played Monday, Sept. 17 against Lincoln Academy on the road at 7 p.m.

After going scoreless in the first half, Maranacook posted its lone goal of the contest in the second half when Jillian Farrell found the net at the 3:31 mark. 

Maranacook had four corners compared to Oceanside’s one. Maranacook had six shots compared to Oceanside’s four. 

Alexa Barstow had five saves for Oceanside, while Alyssa Pratt had four saves for Maranacook.
