THOMASTON – A Waldoboro man is scheduled to appear before a judge for allegedly throwing a rock at the windshield of a parked vehicle occupied by a woman and her toddler.
On June 21, Thomaston Police arrested Jamie P. Luce, 36, of Waldoboro, after police were called to the scene and, “observed a decent size boulder on the ground, and the windshield smashed inward at almost dead center,” according to a police report filed at the Knox County Courthouse.
Inside the vehicle was an adult female, and the female’s 11-month-old baby.
The female told officers that she and Luce had been sitting in the vehicle near the cemetery off of Annabell Lane, in Thomaston, when Luce, “bet her $100 that he would go over and try to start a problem with a male at the dog park,” according to the report.
Luce allegedly confronted the man. The man pushed Luce, according to the report, and that was when Luce allegedly threw a rock at the car.
Luce was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail where he was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Threatening W/ a Dangerous Weapon (other enhancement), Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, and Criminal Mischief.
