Maine's Bark and Buds children’s program in Union

UNION — Vose Library will host two complementary classes for kids to study Maine's Bark and Buds; attend one program or both. 

Join UMaine 4-H's Kathryn Jensen, Tue., Feb. 12, 10:30 a.m.,to learn more about our natural world and the anticipation of spring and the awakening of Maine's forest and landscape.

Children will work with Jensen to study the observational connections between organisms and their environment.

Robin Huntley, M.Ed., of Dirigo Learning, joins Vose staff, Saturday, Feb. 16, at 10:30 a.m., to conduct a hands-on museum curation workshop, guiding students in collecting and labeling specimens to create the library's Bark and Buds Hands-on Museum. 

This museum will be on display for one month in the Children's Room.

Dress warm - weather permitting, these classes will be held outdoor.
