SEARSPORT — Anodyne Book Shop, in Searsport, concludes its Summer Wine and Sign Series with Maine authors Linda Greenlaw and Kate Hotchkiss on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 5-7 p.m., at the book shop, located at 33 East Main Street, Searsport. The readings will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Linda Greenlaw is the author of the bestsellers The Hungry Ocean, All Fishermen are Liars, The Lobster Chronicles, and Recipes from a Small Island, as well as the Jane Bunker mystery series. Before becoming a writer, she was the captain of a swordboat, the career that earned her a prominent role in Sebastian Junger’s The Perfect Storm and a portrayal in the subsequent film. She was also featured in season 19 of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch. She currently runs a charter boat company out of Surry.

Island resident Kate Hotchkiss is author of On Harbor’s Edge, the first story in a series of generational layered tales beginning in 1912, against the backdrop of coastal imagery award-winning author Susan Conley describes as “so rich it is its own character.” Her sequel, Edge of Hale is coming soon.
