FRIENDSHIP — In celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day, author Kay Tobler Liss will sign books and read from her novel, The Last Resort, Sunday, Oct 10, at 1 p.m., at Salt Pond Studio, in Friendship.
Revolving around a city lawyer finding new meaning in life as he works for environmental justice for a Native American Trib, the novel resonates as we celebrate this special day, according to Salt Pond, in a news release.
“I’m grateful to Pam for inviting me,” the author said, in the release. “I have known Pam for many years and admired her work, which is so expressive of the natural world around her. My novel is all about our connection to the natural world, so I think it is fitting to have this event at Salt Pond Studio surrounded by the artists paintings. “
Donations will be accepted at the door designated to The Wabanaki Alliance.
Salt Pond Studio is located at 522 Cushing Road, in Friendship.
