CUSHING — Louis Leon Dickey, 75, of Cushing, died in the morning May 20, 2013 at his home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Searsport, a son of the late Melvin E. and Georgie H. (Littlefield) Dickey. He graduated high school in Roxbury, Mass., and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He spent most of his working life as a tractor-trailer truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jason and Stanley; a sister, Nelly; a step-grandson, Robert Keller; and his second wife, Mary Cassel.

Mr. Dickey is survived by his first wife, Loretta Dickey of Kittery; a daughter, Charlene Dickey of Kittery; two sons, Paul and Philip Dickey of Massachusetts; two stepdaughters, Angel Kinney of Searsport and Sheri Potter of Tennessee; two stepsons, John Malo, serving in the U.S. Army, and Lenny Malo of Tennessee; a brother, Herman Dickey of Cushing; two grandchildren, Alicia and Theresa; and three step-grandchildren, Joey, Dylan and Jacob.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of his family. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Searsport.
