LINCOLNVILLE — Selectmen in Lincolnville will meet at 4:30 p.m., Dec. 26, at the town office to consider a Jan. 14 special town meeting warrant that asks voters to approve moving money within the municipal budget for further assessing the Lincolnville Improvement Assc. building for eventual repairs, and upgrading the town-owned ballfields.

The warrant, if approved, will ask voters for permission to transfer $17,390 from the Building Repair account to the LIA Building Maintenance account and use it to hire consultants to provide building assessment services of the building.

The warrant also asks voters to approve the transfer of $10,000 from Unassigned Fund Balance to the Public Works, Athletic Fields Maintenance account.

The Budget Committee is recommending approval of both warrant articles.

The Special Town Meeting is to be held on January 14, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Walsh Common of the Lincolnville Central School.

Following the warrant discussion, the selectmen will consider an invitation from ecomaine to attend an educational session planned to provide the most up-to-date information in the management of waste and recycling programs.
