LINCOLNVILLE — In observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, the town of Lincolnville will hold its annual parade and tribute services. The parade will commence at 1 p.m. in Lincolnville Center and end at Lincolnville Central School with the prayer and tribute, along with the Camden Hills Regional High School and Lincolnville Bands.
Following the formalities at Lincolnville Central School, a second service, "A Tribute to Those Lost at Sea" will begin at 2 p.m. at Lincolnville Beach. This will be a brief service with a prayer, including Lincolnville Central School seventh grade student Dawson Allen playing the tribute "Taps" on trumpet, and ending with a wreath being cast over the Frohock Bridge by an honored veteran.
In the case of rain, arrangements have been made to have a memorial service held inside the Lincolnville Central School at 1 p.m., with the CHRHS and Lincolnville Bands.
All veterans are welcome to join the festivities and march in the parade.
