Lincolnville Central School to vote on slightly delaying start of classes

Tue, 08/04/2020 - 3:00pm

LINCOLNVILLE — The Lincolnville Central School school committee will be convening an emergency meeting Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. at the LCS Library with a livestream available via Zoom.

The highlight of the agenda is a vote on delaying school opening for students until Sept. 8, with teachers returning on the regularly scheduled date to prepare for reopening schools during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In March, the school committee had approved a start date of Sept. 1 for students with teacher workshops held Aug. 25-27.
