Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Four arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

On June 3, Deputy Aaron Beck received a complaint of a theft of a Craftsman rototiller (value: approximately $200) from a shed in the Whitefield area. This theft occurred sometime in April and further investigation if leads develop.

On June 5, Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell responded to a report of criminal mischief to a window screen to a residence in the Boothbay area. Nothing appeared damaged or missing from inside the residence.

Recent summonses

On May 27, Ross W. Anthony, 33, of Jefferson was issued a summons for Failure to Register Vehicle, on Blinn Hill Road, Dresden, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On May 31, William Legage, 60, of South Thomaston was issued a summons for Failing to Stop for an Officer, on Hodgkins Hill Road, Jefferson, by Detective Jared Mitkus.

Recent arrests

On May 27, Frank Dinsmore, 54, of Jefferson was arrested for Violating Condition of Release, on Bunker Hill Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

On May 29, Taylor L. Johnston, 20, of Jefferson was arrested for Operating under the Influence (Drugs or Combo) and Violating Condition of Release, on Valley Road, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On June 3, Scott A. Milliken, 53, of Benton was arrested for Operating under the Influence, on Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.

On June 5 Robert N. Benner, 32, of Bristol was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault; Violating Condition of Release and Obstructing Report of Crime, on Huddle Road, Bristol, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On June 5, Chris J. Monaghan, 49, of Nobleboro was arrested for Possession of Firearm by Prohibited Person; Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening and Criminal Mischief, on Brown Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Justin Drake, who was assisted by Sgt. Brendan Kane and Deputy Caleb Poirier.

On June 6, Tabatha A. Campbell, 29, of Woolwich was arrested for Failure to Appear, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Matthew Day.

Recent accidents

On May 27, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Isaac D. Petersen, 44, of Nobleboro.  Mr. Petersen was operating his 2004 Suzuki Aero northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck.  Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.

On May 28, an accident occurred on Glidden Street in Newcastle involving Virginia M. Burnham, 57, of Damariscotta.  Ms. Burnham’s 2012 Subaru Forester was parked legally in a parking lot on Glidden Street when an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle and left the scene.  Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On June 6, an accident occurred on High Street in Wiscasset involving Meghan E. Orff, 28, of Waldoboro and Peter R. Hope, 76, of Bristol.  Ms. Orff parked her 2005 Subaru Legacy near another vehicle in a crowded parking lot at the Lincoln County Courthouse.  Mr. Hope attempted to drive in between two vehicles, in his 2005 Toyota Tundra and struck Orff’s vehicle on the left rear quarter panel/rear door area.  Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On June 6, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Hans J. Ruehsen, 48, of China.  Mr. Ruehsen was operating his 2008 Volkswagen Jetta southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck, causing front end damage.  Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.

On May 26, Margret Skiff, 17, of Newcastle – Speeding 43 MPH in a posted 25 MPH speed zone – Academy Hill Road, Newcastle – Deputy Aaron Beck.

On May 27, Phillip Wilde, 63, of Gloucester, Massachusetts – Speeding 55 MPH in a posted 30 MPH speed zone – Rte. 27, Edgecomb – Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On May 28, Max Widbiller, 24, of Wiscasset – Improper passing – Rte. 27, Edgecomb – Sgt. Jason Nein; Larry Johnson, 65, of Trevett – Operator failing to use a seatbelt – Corey Lane, Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein; Nicole Alfonso, 23, of Bridgewater, Massachusetts– Speeding 39 MPH in a posted 30 MPH speed zone – Rte. 130, Bristol – Deputy First Class Mark Bridgham; Jebaselvan Dharmaraj, 43, of Brookline, Massachusetts – Speeding 39 MPH in a posted 30 MPH speed zone – Rte. 130, Bristol – Deputy First Class Mark Bridgham.

On May 29, Philip Owen, 19, of Edgecomb – Speeding 71 MPH in a posted 50 MPH speed zone – Rte. 27, Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein; Peter Townsend, 32, of Boothbay Harbor – Operator failing to use a seatbelt – Rte. 27, Edgecomb – Sgt. Jason Nein.

On May 30, Charles Leeman, 35, of Boothbay – Speeding 69 MPH in a posted 50 MPH speed zone – Rte. 27, Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein; Robert Kilmartin, 19, of Mills, Montana – Speeding 47 MPH in a posted 30 MPH speed zone – Main Street, Damariscotta – Sgt. Matthew Day.

On May 31, Richard Wright, 39, of Hobe Sound, Florida – Speeding 69 MPH in a posted 45 MPH speed zone – Rte. 238, Southport Island – Sgt. Jason Nein; Darren Williams, 32, of Damariscotta – Operator not using a seatbelt – Main Street, Newcastle – Dep. Aaron Beck.
